SUMMARY:SKERO “Kopfkino”, Boutique Romana, Vienna
DESCRIPTION:“The viewer should create their own image in their mind – my works only provide the stimulus.”With this mindset, SKERO invites you to a new exhibition at his own gallery, Boutique Romana. Under the title “KOPFKINO” (“Cinema of the Mind”), the artist, musician, and gallerist presents new works that focus on the human face – deconstructed, reduced, and reassembled.\nEven before his rap career, SKERO was immersed in the world of images. His roots in graffiti, his training as a graphic designer, and his painting studies with Daniel Richter (completed in 2012) continue to shape his approach to art today. The spray can is more than a relic from earlier days – it remains his favorite tool. “I still feel most comfortable with the can,” says SKERO.\nIn “KOPFKINO”, this technique meets his engagement with Cubism – a movement without a manifesto, but full of possibilities. “I wanted to explore that path and find my own way,” SKERO explains. The resulting works almost entirely dispense with outlines. Instead, he works with surfaces, gradients, and colors, creating a graphic, almost illustrative effect. It’s this subtle visual “tipping point” that challenges the eye and sets the imagination free.\nThe portraits depict heads that merge multiple perspectives, fuse viewpoints, and capture the moment when the image continues to unfold in the viewer’s mind.\n“Maybe I’m still at the beginning of my artistic development,” SKERO says with self-reflection. “But just like in music, painting is about rhythm, tone, repetition – and about finding a compact form.”\nOpening Hours:Every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm\nVinissage and Fenissage:From 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm\n
