OSK crew: Tales from the abyss

With works by DANK, DHOS218, GHOO131, HOWTOKILLAGRAFFITI, SKENAR73, SONNE im Schacht and RIOT1394

OSK Crew was founded by RIOT1394, GRIME and KOS.MASK in 2008 in Austria. When RIOT1394 moved to Berlin in 2010 he made new friends the crew grew rapidly with new members. Style writing and figuration are the connecting elements between the members with their distinct individual styles. All of them have developed their artistic work on walls and in the studio with works on paper, canvas, wood, or with other materials further. This first OSK group exhibition provides a small insight into the diverse studio work of their seven members living in Berlin: DANK creates his Art Nouveau-style figurative works mostly digitally for print graphics, while DHOS218, the versatile tinkerer, works with various materials and different visual languages, and GHOO131 develops his naive, illustrative, narrative style on paper. HOWTOKILLAGRAFFITI’s expressive graffiti painting with oil and spray paint takes place on canvas or with charcoal on paper, while SKENAR73 transforms his abstracted letters into high-quality sculptural objects. SONNE im Schacht paints his obscure creatures both on canvas and as tattoos, and RIOT1394 creates imaginative works on paper and canvas in his distinctive comic-based graffiti style using spray paint, acrylics and markers.
