By the movement &#8211; which was already heterogeneous in itself &#8211; not only different images but entire styles emerged from the very beginning. New genres and artistic overlaps have developed from the streets, which is still multifaceted today.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">Influencing and mixing a wide variety of creative forms of expression such as pop art, painting, photography, illustration, design, music, fashion or art in public space, this subculture and its protagonists have been among the important cultural changes of the 21st century for more than 40 years is now going to be an integral part of new contemporary art.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">Chemnitz cultural-historical roots and role in this art form are described as very important &#8211; a \u201estopover&#8221; of the movement coming from Berlin and West-Germany to the former GDR and later new federal states to Eastern Europe. The\u00a0<\/span>HALLENKUNST<span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">\u00a0project documents this development with a comprehensive art and cultural-historical review with more than 70 artists from the USA, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, the Baltic States, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">HALLENKUNST\u00a0<span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">takes place August 28th, 2025 &#8211; September 21st, 2025 \u00a0at the Markthalle in Chemnitz, Germany as multi-disciplinary group exhibition and will be the projection ground for artistic street projects curated and taking place between September 2023 and October 2025 in and around the city.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">\u200b\u200b<\/span><\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">A part of the artworks displayed at\u00a0<\/span>HALLENKUNST 2025<span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">\u00a0will be created in the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hallenkunst.de\/cammannstudios\" target=\"_self\">CAMMANN STUDIOS\u00a0&gt;<\/a>\u00a0Chemnitz and as part of the<a class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hallenkunst.de\/artists-in-residence\" target=\"_self\">\u00a0Artist-in-Residence Program &gt;<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\u200b\u200b<\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\u200bHALLENKUNST,<span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">\u00a0August 28th, 2025 &#8211; September 21st, 2025, Markthalle Chemnitz, Germany<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Graffiti &#8211; a movement that was \u201cborn as a crisis phenomenon\u201d, spread as an subculture and turned out to be an art genre.
