The surroundings of the Jardin Rouge<\/a> are already well known to me, an integral part of my visit is to circle the entire site, the river is one of the most exciting places. Approximately 500 meters up the river you will find an abandoned building with some works, but that’s it. At least that’s what I thought.<\/span>

<\/span>On my last Jardin Rouge visit<\/a>, the idea was to take a trip with David Mesguish<\/a>, doing some spraying on the river and I would document it. To avoid starting in the midday heat, I picked him up at eight in the morning with the scooter. He already knew a good spot, which we reached in 10 minutes. The riversite still has an ongoing construction site and while many trucks drove past, he quickly pulled out his graffiti. “Why are the new dyke walls at the Jardin Rouge not yet painted?  – We should wait until the inauguration, then we can start. “<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or maybe someone just starts before the inauguration, others get infected immediately and also create their murals. There are definitely huge walls and it gets quite colorful. David Mesguish also talked about a trip with Katre<\/a>, both of whom walked upriver for two hours (yes, two hours) to find a good spot to paint. As we made fast progress with the scooters, we decided to look for these murals. After several river crossings and with the help of some truck drivers, we went on, but did not find the right spot. Exactly when we wanted to turn around and go back, the right location suddenly appeared in front of us. Two big graffiti presented themselves to us on a wall. We were glad that we found them and the artists get my utmost respect that they have come this far – just to paint.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
