S\u00e3o Paulo \/ G\u00f6ppingen<\/strong> \u2013 Since 2021, the model railway manufacturer M\u00e4rklin<\/strong> from G\u00f6ppingen has been breaking new ground and appealing to a new target group with Art Toys<\/strong>. The \u2018M\u00e4rklin Message Wagons\u2019<\/em> series was created on the basis of works by important artists.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

Now the Brazilian artist duo OSGEMEOS is co-operating with M\u00e4rklin. Together they are presenting two new, strictly limited art wagons for collectors and model railway fans.<\/p>\n\n

The models can be discovered from 28 March at 17:00 CET<\/strong> at\u00a0www.maerklin-messagewagons.com<\/a>\u00a0until 11 April at 23:59 CEST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The Brazilian artist duo OSGEMEOS has been world-famous for decades for its colourful, vibrant works of art: From the hip-hop scene and art in the 1980s to the first events and major exhibitions such as the current one at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C., they have shaped their unmistakable style.<\/p>\n\n

Their colourful, cheerful figures are emblazoned on buildings, public places and aeroplanes. They are particularly fascinated by trains.<\/p>\n\n

A visit to the M\u00e4rklin production facility in Germany with Managing Partner Florian Sieber led to a special collaboration.<\/p>\n\n

The result: two M\u00e4rklin Message Wagons that combine art and model railway in a unique way.<\/p>\n\n

In G\u00f6ppingen, the artists were inspired by the attention to detail with which each model is created. A motif was spontaneously created on site on a wagon in its original size.<\/p>\n\n

M\u00e4rklin is now releasing this motif as exclusive M\u00e4rklin Message Wagons in the 1:32 and H0 (1:87) model railway scales.<\/p>\n\n

\u2018We are crazy with the details \u2013 anything is possible here,\u2019the twins put their delight into words during their visit to the M\u00e4rklin factory.<\/p>\n\n

About M\u00e4rklin:<\/strong>Founded in 1859<\/strong> by Theodor Friedrich Wilhelm M\u00e4rklin<\/strong>, the company, which originally specialised in manufacturing tin toys, has become an established market leader in the global model railway industry.<\/p>\n\n

His sons, Eugen and Karl M\u00e4rklin, took over the company as Gebr. M\u00e4rklin in 1888. They presented their first ever model railway at the Leipzig Spring Exhibition in 1891.<\/p>\n\n

The M\u00e4rklin corporate group is currently made up of three model railway brands: M\u00e4rklin, Trix and Lehmann-Gartenbahn (LGB).<\/p>\n\n

M\u00e4rklin currently employs roughly 1,130 people at its headquarters in G\u00f6ppingen and in Gy\u00f6r (Hungary).<\/p>\n\n
