roa – graffiti artist from belgium

roa is a graffiti artist from belgium, known for his oversized paintings of animals – which he mainly paints in black and white.
he started up in his hometown, ghent, in old, abandoned factory buildings away from the action. a lot of videos documenting this work are currently circulating on youtube.
now he paints on every continent, and has visited berlin several times (e.g. at urban affairs in stadtbad wedding/2009, skalitzers/2011, artbase grabowsee/2011, etc …). so it’s possible to find a number of works in berlin, and of course there are many facades in his hometown, ghent, decorated with his work, as well as in the ghost village, doel.

update oct 2013:
during my portugal-holiday urlaub, i have found 2 more graffitis in lagos (portugal). he painted them for the artur-festival
