, by Bart Van Kersavond

Urban Art Week during 5.09. to 12.09. 2019

After the success of the first URBAN ART WEEK 2018 in Berlin with about 15.000 visitors, 39 participating spaces/organizations, more than 100 events and 101 presented artists, the second edition of the URBAN ART WEEK 2019 will take place in Berlin from 5.09. to 12.09.2019.

Under the common umbrella of the URBAN ART WEEK, old and new Berlin Urban Art actors will offer in 2019 a coordinated, concentrated program over eight days in eleven districts of Berlin. As the first and only comprehensive format, the URBAN ART WEEK tries to unite and to represent the many actors of the Berlin scene all together.

The program with numerous exhibitions, live paintings, murals, graffiti jams, workshops, film screening, guided tours and talks helps to make Urban Art more visible and provides an insight into the work of the participating locations and thus into the current developments of the art movements.

Galleries, project spaces, initiatives and non-profit organizations will show works by artists from the fields of street art, graffiti writing, painting, muralism, installation, photography and video mapping. The openings are happening in different districts the 5.09., 6.09., 7.09. and 12.09.2019.

In 2019 we have more participants with 41 spaces/organizations in 11 districts and more diverse in its art.
