Die Graffiti Lobby Berlin setzt sich weiterhin mit politischen Mitteln für den Erhalt der North Side Gallery im Berliner Norden ein. Was früher als kuratiertes Projekt begann, ist inzwischen eine öffentlich zugängliche Hall of Fame geworden.
Die Fläche bietet vielen Writerinnen einen wichtigen Ort zum freien Arbeiten – niedrigschwellig, dauerhaft zugänglich und legal. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass der Platz respektiert, sauber gehalten und der Kontakt zu den umliegenden Anwohner innen gepflegt wird.
Im Juni konnte ein Antrag, der die Öffnung der Fläche rückgängig machen wollte, erfolgreich abgewehrt werden. Die NSG bleibt damit offen.
Trotz dieses Erfolgs bleibt die Situation fragil. Die Graffiti Lobby Berlin fordert weiterhin klare Zusagen von der Politik – etwa durch Infrastruktur wie Spraycontainer vor Ort – für mehr legale Flächen und eine langfristige Perspektive.
