graffiti wall in moganshan road – shanghai

, by Bart Van Kersavond

behind the graffiti wall in moganshan road, the area has already been razed to the ground – only a few large, dilapidated buildings have been preserved. it was here that I recognized for the first time the symbol indicating that a building is slated for demolishment.

it does make your heart ache a bit when you step over a pile of old bricks, see some personal belongings strewn here and there, and imagine that new high-rise buildings will probably soon be built on the very same spot. I can only echo the slogan: “dislike skyscraper”.

die 600 meter lange wand der moganshan road ist nicht die einzigste in shanghai, aber eine der wenigen wo es legal ist zu sprühen und demnach Künstler an zu treffen sind.

I had a very successful day and fell into my cold bed, absolutely exhausted.
